We are their voice.

We are a coalition of dedicated and concerned citizens committed to ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare at our local shelter. Recognizing the critical role that shelters play in the lives of vulnerable animals, we have come together to address issues related to their management and operations at Gwinnett County Animal Shelter. Our mission is to find mutually beneficial ways for the shelter management team and the community members to come together and work on the crisis as a team.

Through community engagement, open dialogue, and informed advocacy, we strive to bring about positive change and ensure that the shelter upholds its responsibility to provide compassionate and effective care. We believe every animal deserves a safe and supportive environment, and we are united in our efforts to make this a reality.

How to Help

Learn how to contact Gwinnett County Commissioners, view public records and meeting minutes, read the shelter’s daily log, and more. We hope you’ll join us as we embark on the uphill road to enact change. Whether you write emails to Gwinnett County Commissioners, go volunteer at the shelter, open your home as a foster, join our Facebook group and share our posts, attend quarterly board meetings, or help by signing our petition, these poor sweet souls need all of us to band together and hold Gwinnett County Animal shelter accountable.

Dogs Unjustly Euthanized

We are currently building a full gallery of all the dogs who have been euthanized after being intentionally mislabeled as “aggressive” or “failure to thrive”. We hope this gallery won’t be enormous, but until we can succeed in holding Gwinnett County Animal Shelter accountable, these injustices will continue.
